There is an outbreak of the Ebola virus in countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo and dozens have  died. As a result, Nigerians are expecting more as regards the screening of passengers coming into the country, but have been left disappointed.   Some Nigerians who recently came into the country took to social media to lament the lack of screening of passengers coming into Nigeria in spite of the Ebola crisis plaguing several neighbouring African countries. Social media users recalled the last incident that occurred where a man carrying the virus came into Nigeria and infected several others, leading to the death of some medical personnel, including Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh. Teresiah Mumbi a 31-year old bearded woman from Kenya was ordered by police officers to strip and spread her legs apart in order to prove her gender.    Teresiah Mumbi suffered the humiliating ordeal at the hands of two female officers after she was arrested for a traffic offence in Kariobangi, Kenya. The minibus conductor who said she did not like shaving because it made her face itchy, has now threatened to sue the officers involved. She was quoted as saying: 'Those two female officers came and demanded that I undress and put my legs apart. After they were satisfied they let me back to the cell.' She claimed they demanded a bribe of KSh400 (£3) after she had been arrested with other minibus touts for a traffic offence. The chairman of the Delta State Butchers Association, Sapele branch was hacked to death by suspected assassins.   The deceased Michael Onyeachi Nweke was killed last Saturday night at about 9pm at Sapele market abattoir. According to a reports, Nweke was was at the market rounding up the day’s sales when the assailants attacked him. “Onyeachi was the only one left at the abattoir section of the market and he was rounding up the day’s business when three men attacked him with knives and machete and stabbed him to death."  a witness stated “Onyeachi was the chairman of the Delta State Butchers Association, Sapele branch and I can’t remember him quarreling with anybody or planning evil against anyone. He is also into supply of cows and I don’t know why anybody would want to kill Onyeachi,” the witness added. Youths in Agudama Epie community in Bayelsa state are currently going on rampage after a female member of their community allegedly confessed to poisoning her sister in-law.   The deceased, 37-year-old mother of eight, Pinaere Promise, died on Sunday morning while she was being rushed to the hospital. Her sister in-law, Mama Toufa, pictured left, reportedly fell ill shortly after Promise's burial. She was taken to a church for prayers where she reportedly confessed to having a hand in the death of Promise. Domestic violence has become so rampant, such that not a day passes without news of a battered wife being shared on social media.    But one particular story has infuriated social media users because of the extent of the woman's injuries. According to Nkemdilim Nwokemodo, the battered woman is her friend and she was beaten black and blue by her husband following an argument. See more photos below.

A young man travelling to the eastern part of Nigeria was prevented from continuing on his journey by Lagos state police because he had four phones with him.   The bus conveying the young man and other travellers was reportedly stopped on Ikorodu Sagamu expressway and the young man was detained because he had multiple phones. According to the Twitter user who shared the story, the young man explained that he was travelling home to see his dying dad and people gave him phones to deliver to people in his home town. However, the police officer still refused to let him continue on his journey. After an hour of waiting, the bus driver had to continue the journey with other passengers, leaving the young man and his luggage in the middle of nowhere with the police officer. No one knows the plight of the young man at the moment.

Kylie Jenner joined her babydaddy Travis Scott for the NBA playoff game between Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors on Monday night in Houston, Texas.    The 20-year-old reality star, who sat courtside with her rapper beau sported a black bodysuit and knee-high boots, while Scott, 27, wore a plaid shirt, which he matched with blue jeans, a pair of Air Jordans and several silver chains. A popular businessman in Ebonyi State, Chief Monday Okeh narrowly escaped assassination on his way to a meeting in Abakaliki.   It was gathered that Chief Okeh, a.k.a Emebeifego, who owns a popular hotel 'Monablis' located in the state capital was abducted by four men last Friday night. The  suspects picked the victim few miles away from his hotel and took him to a river where they shot him and dropped him inside the river. Okeh survived the gun shot and is said to be receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki. An eyewitness, who identified himself simply as Kelechi, said the assassins used a black Highlander Jeep that has no bumber in the front. Spokesperson for the Ebonyi State police Command, ASP Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident said four persons have been arrested in connection with the attempted kidnap and murder of Mr Okeh. She added that the hoodlums stole N9 million belonging to the victim.

The war between G.O.O.D Music rapper, Pusha-T and Canadian rapper, Drake just got messier. An 'Atlanta public school teacher' has caused an uproar after she released a video of herself twerking up a storm in a white figure-hugging strapless mini dress.   According to Flyheight website, who first published the video of the woman twerking, the lady is a Public School teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. At least 20 people reportedly lost their lives while others sustained injuries in a road accident which occurred on Epinmi-Isua Akoko Road,  in the Akoko South-East Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday as the vehicles involved had a head-on collision on the road. An eyewitness said 14-passengers Toyota bus collided with a Range Rover.  It was also leant that after the collision, the two vehicles caught fire which consumed some occupants of the vehicles.  The eyewitness said, “One of the vehicles was overtaking another vehicle on the road when it collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.”   He also explained that the drivers of the two vehicles survived the accident with injuries, adding that they were receiving treatment at the hospital.  It was further gathered that the men of Federal Road Safety Corps in Ikare Akoko rushed to the scene of the accident and coordinate the rescue operation. ...
