NIJ Holds 5th Convocation Ceremony Tomorrow

The Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) will tomorrow, 20th April, 2018 hold its 5th convocation ceremony at the school premises.

The event which will commence at 11am will have in attendance, media professionals across the country.

The event which will be chaired by the chairman, Media Trust limited, Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf will also have in attendance, members of the governing council of the institution.

Meanwhile, there will be conferment of fellowship awards, award of National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD), Certificates, as well as presentation of prizes.

ALEDEH had earlier reported that the convocation lecture themed “Nigeria: Value Re-Orientation and the media” was held today, 19th April, 2018 at the school hall. The first Director-General of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Engr. Vincent Maduka gave the lecture, urging journalists to keep their heads high in order for them to earn the respect of members of the society.

Dignitaries at the event include the Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Rotimi Oladele; Managing Director/Editor-in-chief, Punch Newspapers Ltd, Mr. Ademola Osinubi; members of NIJ governing council; the Provost, NIJ, Mr Gbemiga Ogunleye, among others.
