Why Retired Cromartie, Father Of 14, Thinks Parenting Is ‘Easy’
Antonio Cromartie hung up his cleats officially in March, but having him around the house more isn't necessarily the best thing for his family.
"It's so annoying," Terricka Cromartie told For The Win in a recent interview. "Are you guys hiring?"
"I always wished he was home more often enjoying family time, and that part I do love," she added. "But sometimes I wish he had something to do because he becomes extremely annoying with his 'Cro-CD.'"
The ex-NFL cornerback's neat freak approach was one of the personality traits we learned about him in the first season of their family reality show, The Cromarties. With the show returning for season 1.5, the focus shifts to how the family will adjust with him more present.
Cromartie says he's still looking around for what to do next, but that he might try getting into coaching or broadcasting.
In the meantime, he's fully involved with his children - getting them up, driving them to school and everything in between.
Yet the man who's a father to 14 kids in total is as calm as can be.
"Parenting is easy," he said. "I have patience. So, kids can be screaming, hollering, I'll pick them up and just keep going."
It comes from an understanding that everything will work out in the end. But Terricka doesn't have the same approach.
"I stress out a little bit more," she said. "We're trying to keep up with schedules, it becomes a handful. But he's laid back with it, 'everything's going to be okay.' I like that he has that outlook on it because it helps me when I'm thinking, 'how are we going to do this?'"
