Explore SamBeatz Hotel & Suites... Timeless Charm
A couple of Thursday ago, I found myself in *Ilesha. I was going to see my uncle, Mr. Tony Igbaroola. And the venue would be Sambeatz Hotel&Suites, the architectural wonder of a hotel he built in the memory and celebration of his late parents.
I have often heard about the second wonder of Ilesha ( don't ask me the first) which was declared opened in an unforgettable exotic occasion 3 years ago but I was yet to experience it for myself.
Five magnificent edifices combine on a generous expanse of land to produce one of the most beautiful ambiences you'd ever find in Ilesha, nay Osun state.
Forty rooms divided into four categories make up Sambeatz Hotel&Suites. Even though I was lodged in the Executive room where the air condition was behaving like a typical Russian weather (thanks to remote control) I carry my aproko to check out other types of rooms out of curiosity.
There is the Platinum room which offers a higher comfort. Steam bath, half set of chairs, 6 by 7ft bed, as spacious as the earth... You know what they say, 'na as your money reash you go take enjoy Oyinbo 😂'.
I was also shown the Prince Suite (Platinum's daddy) which offers a larger bed, two television sets, full set of chairs in a living room and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom among other relevant facilities. After a cursory look at Prince, I concluded that there is a way you'll lodge here and the following day you'd be convinced of the transience of life thereby settling for just one more night.
The one that personally amazed me accommodation-wise is the provision for drivers--a drivers lodge! You needn't bother where your driver would pass the night when you lodge at Sambeatz Hotel&Suites. They've got you covered like the canopy.
But there is more to Sambeatz than the provision of accommodation, and trust your fun-loving La, I was looking beyond accommodation. I had the luxury of both Continental and African dish when I succumbed to "stomach infrastructure" 😂. Even my ulcer was envious of my sudden appetite. When the meal is inviting, appetite has no choice. For the adventurous when it comes to cuisine matter, there is a Chinese restaurant to also explore.
After a good meal, I experimented with Sir Authur Guinness offering to the world at the open bar which is right beside the swimming pool. The beer was ice cold like Michigan. You won't expect less when you find out that aside from having a transformer of her own, Sambeatz Hotel&Suites boasts of three generators ranging from 300, 100 and 40 KVAs. Because Sambeatz doesn't even want you to remember Nigeria's woes when you're within, they still have a 40Kv inverter for backup just in case... Sometimes it feels surreal to accept you're in Ilesha once you find yourself in this hospitality haven.
Aside from the Pool bar, there's also the VIP bar called Sky bar because it is literally suspended in the air. I told you Sambeatz is the second wonder of Ilesha na... The Sky bar gives you the heady feeling of being seated near the window seat of an airplane. You can see everything happening some feet below you through the transparent panes.
There's a 24-hour laundry service and a gymnasium for those who love to keep fit. I took a peek at the well-furnished gym but only to feed my eyes. And because your kids and wards deserve fun too, a portion of the expanse is carved out for children's recreation. It contains the usual suspects; jingle over, swing and some other facilities I have no names for because growing up in Ondo was really tough 😂
What's a hotel without a conference room.? Sambeatz boasts of two! The first can contain as many as 300 people, while the other would swallow 900 banqueting guests comfortably seated. An expansive car park that can accommodate as many as 200 cars makes a perfect sense when you consider all these. It gets more interesting because a 1500 seater banquet hall is already under construction with two complimentary cinema theaters!
Finally, Sambeatz Hotel&Suites is as secure as a vault. Lodgers sleep with their eyes closed. There are several in-house security surveillances and policemen from both A and B division are always on patrol every night.
