Ayodele Fayose To Remain In EFCC Custody After Hearing





The former governor of Ekiti State, who appeared in federal high court in Lagos, is to remain in EFCC custody after the court hearing.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Fayose on an 11 count charge of conspiracy and money laundering against him accusing him of benefitting from N4.65billion funds allocated by the office of National Security Adviser (ONSA) during the Goodluck Jonathan 
Administration.

It was reported that the former governor acquired property in Abuja and Lagos also illegally acquiring property in the name of his sister in Abuja and others.

However, the Ex governor has pleaded not guilty of the charges.

His counsel, Kanu Agabi, filed a bail application on behalf of his client but the presiding judge Mojisola Olatoregun, said the application would be considered later.

she has ordered that Fayose remains in EFCC custody till Wednesday.
