Kate Henshaw set to Share Life Journey with a Book

All road leads to Lagos book and Art Festival on Friday,
November 9 as Actress Kate Henshaw would be taking the stage to talk about her
life’s journey.
The entire LABAF 2018 would run from November 5 to 11, 2018 and
the actress would effectively be declaring an open core segment of the
Festival: ‘the Kiddies’ programme’, featuring 300 students from over seven
secondary schools.
Interestingly ‘the kiddies program’ has a talk segment called ‘The Book in My
Life’ that has celebrities that are relatable come on-board to address young
Nigerians on what books have done to their lives.
The event which has hosted Over 20 editions, has featured
distinguished personalities like Pat Utomi, professor of the social environment
of business at the Pan African University; Femi Osofisan, the country’s top
playwright and professor of Theatre Arts; the irreverent Bishop Matthew Hassan
Kukahl, Nollywood veterans Richard Mofe Damijo , Joke Silva ,comedian Ali Baba,
among several others.
Meanwhile, ‘The Book in My Life’ is focused and created to
mentor children about the values of literacy..
Kate Henshaw who is also an author of a book called The World Of An Actress: My Story, was said to have accepted the invitation of role modeling the young participants at LABAF this year
without hesitation.
General activities at LABAF 2018 which runs from November 5 to
11, 2018 by 9am, would run a
comprehensive seven-day cultural picnic including readings sessions,
conversations around books, art and craft displays, kiddies’ art workshops,
book exhibitions, live music and dance. There are Publisher’s Forum, Writers’
workshops and Book Treks. Overall, it is a carnivalesque atmosphere created to
make books look cool.
