Nigerian Man Stuns South African Wife With Lamborghini Push Gift for 24th Birthday

A Nigerian businessman has set social media ablaze after gifting his South African wife a brand-new Lamborghini Urus to celebrate her 24th birthday and recent delivery of their first child.

The extravagant surprise, captured in a viral video, shows the young mother breaking down in tears as she discovers the N150 million (about $100,000) luxury SUV parked in their Johannesburg home with a giant bow.

The identity of the couple remains undisclosed, but sources reveal the Lagos-based entrepreneur runs multiple oil and gas ventures across Africa. The birthday celebration doubled as a "push gift" - a present given to mothers after childbirth - following the arrival of their baby girl two weeks prior.

In the emotional footage, the elated wife is seen repeatedly asking "Is this really mine?" before embracing her husband amid cheers from family members. The video has garnered over 2 million views across Instagram and TikTok, sparking both admiration and debate about lavish displays of wealth.

While some social media users praised the gesture as relationship goals, others questioned the optics of such ostentation in Africa's current economic climate. "Beautiful gift, but imagine what that money could do for struggling families," commented one Twitter user. Defending the purchase, the husband reportedly responded via a burner account: "I worked hard for this - let people enjoy their blessings."

The yellow Lamborghini joins the couple's growing luxury car collection, which reportedly includes a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Mercedes G-Wagon. Automotive experts note the Urus's 650 horsepower engine can accelerate 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds, making it one of the fastest SUVs money can buy.

This spectacle follows recent viral moments of Nigerian men's extravagant gifting, including last month's Dubai-based proposal featuring a Bentley and diamond-encrusted Rolex. Sociologists observe these displays reflect both genuine affection and the growing pressure on Africa's elite to perform wealth on social media.

As the video continues circulating, the couple has announced plans to document their luxury lifestyle via a new YouTube channel, ensuring this won't be the last time their opulence makes headlines.
