Lagos Big Shots Bag Honors at Glitzy Eko Mi Awards Night

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other distinguished personalities were honored at the prestigious Eko Mi Awards held on Saturday night, celebrating their outstanding contributions to the development and progress of Lagos State.  



The event, which took place at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, recognized individuals who have demonstrated excellence in governance, public service, and community development. Governor Sanwo-Olu received the *"Most Outstanding Governor in Infrastructure Development"* award for his administration’s massive investments in road construction, transportation, and urban renewal projects across the state.  


Also honored was Hon. James Faleke, a federal lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, who bagged the "Grassroots Empowerment Champion" award for his impactful constituency projects and youth empowerment initiatives.  


Other notable awardees included:  

- Dr. AbdulHakeem Wahab, Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, who was recognized for his role in promoting religious harmony and cultural integration.  

- Hon. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, awarded for her efforts in improving affordable housing schemes in Lagos.  


The ceremony was attended by top government officials, business leaders, and cultural icons, with performances by leading Nigerian musicians. In his acceptance speech, Governor Sanwo-Olu dedicated the award to Lagosians, promising to sustain his administration’s commitment to transforming the state into a model megacity.

Former President of Ghana, John Mahama Arrives For Lagos Tourism Summit - Video

 A former President of Ghana, Mr. John Mahama arrived on Sunday for the Lagos State Tourism Summit. The Summit scheduled held ‪Monday, 16th April‬ at Eko Hotel and Suites. Former President Mahama, who was the Special Guest of Honour, and expected to deliver a keynote address and share experiences on tourism development and long-term planning instruments among other issues. The former President was received at the Presidential wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja by a team of Lagos State Government officials led by Mr Steve Ayorinde, the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture.   Also at the airport to welcome Mr Mahama are; Mr Fola Adeyemi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Maxwell Awiaga, Consul General, Ghana Consulate, Lagos, Basorun Dele Momodu, Publisher and CEO Ovation International.

Internet Fraudster Runs Mad In Lekki, Lagos. Goes Unclad (Video)

A video clip has made it’s way to social media, showing an alleged  Yahoo boy  who seems to have  run mad  for unknown reasons. According to the post, whatever the young man got involved in to get rich, must have been aided by charms which seem to be backfiring.If the comments heard in the background are to be believed, the young man is allegedly known to be an Internet fraudster. The video clip shows the young man strip Unclad along a road in Lekki phase one while wondering around aimlessly.
