Nobody Knows Wizkid In America- Popular American DJ Claims

A popular American DJ, Ciphasounds has revealed that popular Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Wizkid is unknown in America.

The DJ while in a programme called ROAD podcast alongside three other popular DJs said Wizkid would have been nobody if not for Drake.

Going further to state that Afrobeats doesn’t have any star, he said if asked about the singer on the streets of America, nobody would know him.

It is however safe to say the superstar singer has risen in the music industry to a certain level that his fans hold him in high esteem when it comes to putting out good music.

Meanwhile, the singer recently sent his congratulatory message to afro-fusion artist, Burna Boy, after the latter bagged the sought-after ‘Best International Act’ award at the BET on Monday.

Wizkid who still holds the record for most wins in this category took to social media to congratulate Burnaboy as he joins him, 2baba, Davido, D’banj and Iceprince as the only winners of the award from Nigeria.
